In our institution, where we aim to raise the child, who is at the center of the triangle of society, family and school, on solid foundations and by adapting to the environment in every aspect, we attach importance to the uniqueness of each child and the support of children despite all differences. As Pamuk Şeker Kindergarten, we aim to enable our children, who can communicate verbally, walk, even run, talk, and examine everything with curiosity, to discover new things every day as they embark on the adventure of starting school. We aim to support their learning by providing a safe and free environment with rich experiences. By minimizing the worries of not only the children but also the parents, we support them in developing their sense of curiosity and how they need to contribute to their children. In addition to learning by doing and experiencing, we aim to create free learning environments that are integrated with the family and sensitive to cultural values. We are also guided by slow pedagogy, which allows children to discover themselves by moving away from today's chaos.
Based on a positive approach to children's education, Pamuk Şeker Kindergarten aims to raise conscious children with a positive outlook on the future and a high level of awareness. Our education program focuses on the developmental characteristics of the child as well as age. On the other hand, urbanization and the spaces separated from each other by locked doors, walls, and fences required by modern life lead to the isolation of preschool children and thus limit their social interactions. For this reason, in our education program, interaction between groups is supported especially through mixed age group activities and peer education and guidance are also enabled.
Another important point that we emphasize in our education program is our awareness workshops that help our children to be sensitive to other people's needs and desires and to have social values. The aim of these activities is to help children understand themselves, their needs and their environment, and to raise more conscious children.
Furthermore, with the awareness that we cannot be with our children forever, our program also includes activities to help them become generations who stand on their own feet, struggle, and acquire basic life skills.
Our educational programs have been created by integrating many educational approaches based on learning in natural environments by providing environments that support children to be active during the day. The pedagogical documentation and the quality of the education are continuously reviewed and structured to meet the needs. In this context, education programs in Finland and Belgium were particularly scrutinized. Based on 21st century skills, it is aimed to provide children with basic life skills, problem solving, social-emotional competence and academic skills.
As well as including natural and real materials in the organization of educational environments and planning for children to gain skills through real life experiences, different workshops and educations such as the correct use of technology, designing and entrepreneurship skills were included in order to keep up with the modern world. In our education program prepared for this purpose, it is aimed at offering project-based learning experiences. Instead of an ordinary education, educational activities will be planned based on the essence of the concept in their projects, and as a final product, it is planned to gain experience in turning them into work ideas.
